dunno if any of you guys have played with and business programs
i am after a scheduling program that i can customize to use for work in small to medium manufacturing
to track and schedule jobs
if you know of any lemme know

its quite simple boogz
just a spreadsheet type program that also incorporated a calender to show what work/jobs were booked in for that day
so i could list : date ,name ,address,job details,dollar value, manufacture time,installation time, required date
once entered it would save to a calender type spread sheet that showed what is required to manufacture/install on any given day

microsoft excel would probably be the easiest way to go scummy, its basic, but if you read up on how to use the formulas to your advantage it can be a very helpful program. You can customize columns to display dates and can even track your expenses/charges.
you can take courses in excel but most of what you need to know you can find online.

I used Excel for Jobs at Qantas when a manager Their , Easy , Easily edited , Customize cells as Jtoobmsy said to add dollar values etc...

i can use excel but there is a few things we require that it wont do

You could use macros or programmed maths and values into the equations and maths field, its up the top somewhere of excel i don't really use excel though but yeah that will help you.

If you know the maths or systematics behind the maths that you require to use or the sum of basically you can use them and automate the outcome.

hmmm so maybe something like MYOB but with a scheduling planner/diary interface...
will look into it 4 ya. but booGz might be the man to help you as it seems your after something very specific, and if you settle for a program it might not accommodate your needs...

found which is a diary planner program.nothing to do with the accounts side of things, but you could use it along side an accounting/invoicing program such as or . quickbooks seems to have alot of add ons and other options but if you click on the links provided you may find something I've overlooked
