Shaking monitor

hmmm; sounds like a reasonable claim but ill have to wait until next week or something to turn the monitor off lol; next week is exam week anyways lol

try moving your putey into another room to see if it is still shaking! yeah i know this sounds stupid but just try it for 5 minutes and see what happens! if it is fine then u have electrical interferance, if no better than have to look at something else!
if now good , hunt around the room for n e thing electrical and unplug it and take it out of room. try this untill it good with no probs!

here is anlther posability to fix it- worth giving it a try -
"this might sound kinda odd, but ive had this happen to me also". Reset the settings in the montor itself like the settings that controll the position of the screen from left to right and side to side. Then set them back. For some reason the setting were all set really weird and when i reset it and but it back it fixed it.

ok summary so far -

try monitor on different putey - see if problem putey or monitor, if putey- try reinstall of windows
try diff monitor on your putey
try diff cable on monitor
try whole computer incl monitor in diff room - a check 4 electrical devices causing interference eg speakers etc anything magnetic (OR anything which emits radio waves, including cell phones) will cause this. so, check to make sure you dont have any of these items next to your monitor.
make sure the bloody thing is plugged in properly both ends.
make sure that none of the magnets onthe cable have fallen off! ie lowering its resistance to magnetic shielding

try resetting to default settings on monitor
A temp fix, or at least what worked for me was to lower the refresh rate.

also read of a guy who just disconnected his vga cable rolled it out straight and plugged it back in and now it is fine .- this suggests to me the cable is a little dodgy.


Hado- You may have a magnetic build up in the shadow mask of the screen - If possible switch off and unplug the monitor from the power point for at least 24 hours.

also read a guy who says if he give it a good whack on the side, fixed it . suggest using your hand b4 the big hammer but! hehe

if all else fails buy a BIG hammer !
