You might also check out liquidators - companies that have gone in to receivership, and the like might have had this equipment. Usually the receivers just want to make whatever they can, and you can get them for a fraction of the cost you would pay anywhere else.

For the receivers, often it's sold chaeap or off to the tip... They wont hang on to the stuff for long...

Yeh i missed a few good deals on eBay.... but thanks crooGz i might try get hold of some liquidators around bris n see what they have.
