New PC

Getting new pc , last time i bought of Ebay was happy with the system for the price , no hassle good systems .

im only spending 1k for the box round about , heres a few ive been looking at any what do ppl think the best bang for buck is ?

your scrapping the bottom of the barrel if you want my opinion about hardware... but from basic spec's

mate just build your own it will be better quality and it will save you some money... its not that hard.

yer P was thinking that , i,ll start checking out motherboards to start with . Everything else im familiar with but motherboards i dont know where to start :-/ , ill check out guru3d and google some ...

I would suggest starting with the Z68X/P Chip-set. It pretty much is the best chip-set for the Socket 1155 platform.....

Pitty u dont have it sitting correctly cos the arrows are supposed to pointin' up !

yep Z68 chipset is pretty much wher its currently at. still have choice of 2500/2600 cpu's . if u need to overclock then get the K version slightly dearer like $20 or so and if u need to save money get the 2500 cos its about $100 cheaper.

motherboards - get what stuff u need on them. pretty much all the latest asus and gigabyte full size atx ones will over clock sweet and the lower end ones tend not to support sli or x fire modes if u need to run dual vid cards .seems prices are down a bit these days
gigabyte Z68xp-UD3 has heaps of features , overclocks well can run sli /x fire is only $153 pretty sweet.

ram is cheap 8gb for well under $100 of high quality stuff g skil corsair kingston etc

vid cards well do u want to play games if so get some thing good value for around $260 nvidia GTX 560Ti or Radeon HD6950
if u dont want to play games the xp chipset on the mother board will do quite well letting u use the onboard graphics.

it sll pretty much the same as when i built my latest putey a few months back just all a little bit cheaper and slightly newer z68 chipset

these new core i7 2500/2600 cpus play games fkn mint thats what they do best, and also video stuff as well .

could build a great box for 1k, even cheaper without vid card ie no games

after my rant have ya actually got one yet?
