Modem Router Firmware

Hi ,
Does anybody bother updating modem Firmware ?

I try to. Depending on the update I've heard of losing a few ms off your ping. I was recommended a Billion router from the guy who told me that. I bought one and have updated the FW but haven't noticed any decrease in ping but who knows.

yer on that note i think i,ll leave it ...
The problems only been since they've re-routed my QL Connection after Adelaide servers went down ...

Not normally, and not without good reason.
Closing a security hole might be a good enough reason.... Otherwise the risk-to-reward ratio is too low to make it a priority.
