[tab]4GB Corsair 800mhz PC6400 TwinX (4 sticks of 1gb in dual chan)

[tab]400gb Seagate SATA drive. 16mg cache.

[tab]Asus 8800GT 512mg Video

[tab]Antec NSK400B case

[tab]Total: 1298

Now im also after a 19” widescreen LCD. However I need to be able to remove the stand and sit it on itself (as desk space sucks for height). So that’s another $300.

Now the real question is... Do i instal Vista, XP, Server 2003 for best performance (esp smp)? In terms of games i'll be running d3, q4, cod4 etc so im not that phased with DX10. Sounds like a n00b question, but I know most of you prob use SMP machines and can pick performance difference. At this stage i'll be sticking with XP.

Well I have finally decied on the quote for the new PC, best of all it includes a good headset along with a monitor and I am only $54 over budget :D.
