hey cnuts!

Im currently (at this very moment ;) ) importing the old db into my MySQL server. From here i will alter tables and masturbate until jesus cries enough that it all works ;)

lol this shouldnt take long at all ie a few weeks tops (minus one or two things that might take some dicking around).

EDIT: I started the import 1 hr ago and it is currently at 34% ... lolz

ah ok the database...

To start with that .sql backup contains 199k lines of query. :eek:

in terms of data size, 7mg worth of private messages alone...

I can easily convert the old tables etc to conform with the new database, however its re-aligning all the posts and topics. Ie spuds userId on this forum may be 5 (for example) but on the previous forum may have been 8. So in the old forum his posts wont match up. This is where the most work is. But as long as everything goes to plan. Ie the queryies ive written work It shouldnt take long.
I will post once i think the conversion is complete. From their it will be tested on another forum to make sure it works before i import it here.
