Tri Frag-athon - an AiM triathlon of sorts...

Ok so i know i didnt think i would want to after the last one, but, ive been thinking there should be another AiM comp, and thought that for a slight change (ok a big change) we could do a Triathlon sort of comp, a Tri Frag-athon:

one map iCTF
one map iFT
one map iFFA

for each round of the double elimination comp.

Obviously the winner of the team events is the over-all winning Team, but the FFA winner will be based on highest frag count over the course of the comp.

Thoughts and interest?

What about iCA (or iTDM for marketing purposes ) instead of iFFA? It keeps the 3 events team-based.

You could still run the iFFA with players seeded from losing brackets? Perhaps whoever wins iFFA gets their team nominated into a double elim bracket/slot? Probably way too complicated then it needs to be, just an idea

Good idea Gubs. I think Inks comment has a lot of merit - 3 dif team events.
I'd be interested but purely to allow the other teams frag count to mount

Based on comments here and on 4SG, iFFA is replaced by iTDM

one map iCTF
one map iFT
one map iTDM

I think Grrd suggested a Round Robin format instead of double elimination, which would be fairer, but that would drag out the length of the comp to 3 or more months. Ive always liked the quick turn around of previous events (partly because 12 or more weeks is a long time to keep people on track each weekend...)

I do like Inkorp's idea about those eliminated from the Team comp to compete in a FFA mode which sounds like a fun counterpoint to being eliminated.

Sounds like a great idea. The thing they did at LAN worked well where we did FFA the iffa and added kills. People all liked the madness .
