First Round lineups AiM iCTF #2

Ok folks, here is the lineup for the first round of competition next sunday 12th Feb starting at 6.30pm Sydney time. Please be on the server early for warmup and map eliminations. No shows or late arrivals will be given 15 min grace before a loss is registered.

eXc and z| have been seeded 1 & 2 respectively. All other seedings were randomly drawn from a hat.

one quick question about the time zones - you're using AEST for the times, which is only applicable in QLD right now. Do you mean AEDT (daylight savings time in NSW+VIC, which how competition times are normally announced)?

next sunday is extremely hectic for lots of us, coz its the last week of div1 CTF group season.
i'm pretty sure exc and z| both have games throughout the evening. are reschedules possible?

grrrdian both eXc and z| have their first games scheduled for 8pm... you dont think you will be ready by then?

nope, 8pm is normal starting time.
i'm not in exc or z|, but they were discussing it on server last night. i'm 99.99% sure they have games at 8pm ;o

its possible to re-arrange the bracket in order to give z| and exc wins for the first two rounds :O no offense to any of the teams, but i think it might even give some teams more games to play, if they can delay playing z and exc.

edit: actually nvm, i spoke before double checking. only possible to give one team a double bye. cant give double bye to both exc and z|

btw, i think the bracket drawn up in that picture is wrong. it won't support a double elimination system. i dont see any places for the teams dropping down to lower bracket in 2nd and 3rd rounds (eg where does the loser of match 8 and match 13 drop down to play in the lower bracket?)

;o i suggest using a putty bracket system or something, makes it easier to manage + looks good + impartial allocation of matches.

Um its there grrrdian, loser match 8 plays in match 12 against loser match 7. loser match 13 plays in match 16 against winner of match 12

Just means theres a benefit in being in bottom bracket.. If you lose match 13 you get a bye and loser of match 8 has to ply an extra game.

Either way you run it, there will always be byes because of the number of teams. Grrds suggestion just ensures that any byes are in the first rounds

I think the byes are only in the first round here too?

Spectators are limited to each teams subs at this stage.
