no hardy616 its not in Application support i thought that aswell .

Thanks booGz ill try and mess around with those setting. still cant find the baseq3 folder though.

If'n ya dont have permissions, it'll be messay...

there is a way of enabling the root account to login - but its been about a years since I last looked it up. In a linux distro I'd have either chowned the folder, or su'd to root, but I dont think you can su root - until you have enabled root login on the Mac.... I could be wrong on that.

Im still having trouble with this one ,anyone bought a Mac and cant find your Baseq3 folder?

find / -type dir -name /baseq3/i -print

or something like that, I'm sure the super unix nerds will correct me ;)

mate try:

library -> application support -> quakelive -> quakelive = baseq3 and home folders
