i paid $240 for it dv... the three doods at JBHiFi seemed clueless re hz and said i was the first person to ask about that re monitors...? wtf?

I bought it on the previso that i could take it back if i wasnt satisfied... at least it gives me a monitor for the week once i get my new puter up and running tomorrow night... and time to suss another one... so that link to Amazon is here in Australia? Ive never bought off Amazon, is it reliable and safe to pay credit card etc? That Asus sounds like a good deal...?

Far f*cking out, now i know what you guys have been seeing all this time, its like ive been playing with shade cloth over my screen, the clarity and res is amazing with this new comp, in both quake and Dirty Bomb... and its still only with that BenQ 60hz monitor, which looks pretty bloody good... is the 144hz gonna be that much better that i need to spend the extra $200?

Its amazing what a new PC will do. I still think back to running quake1 on 640x480 because thats all the 486 would handle at the time. First time I got a decent PC and loaded up GLQuake was amazing.

I'll let you know what I think of the 144hz when it arrives in a day or two.

yeah, unfortunately.

Its free to play, the only real advantage to paying anything is getting different Merc's unlocked to give you a different skill set. but there are the occasional giveaways and always a free rotation of mercs to try out anyway.

You can also play for Cr to spend on Mercs. At 50k per Merc, it isn't an unfathomable amount of Cr to accrue, just choose wisely.

Don't forget to add $5USD to your Steam wallet (or buy something of equal value) to unlock ALL the steam community features... annoying but a presumably effective hurdle for spammers etc.

Ive already bought a 30k credit merc, and now have enough to buy a 50k credit merc. trying to decide between bushwhacker and nader and proxy and fletcher.

All just from playing the game smartly to make sure I accrue credits, havnt spent a cent so far. Although I like the game enough to put a little bit towards it, so I might buy the 'deployable' bundle and get bushwhacker, proxy and sawbonez that way.

I'd def. recommend getting a decent (gold) loadout card. My Arty's a beast now. I got 2 gold cards so far and apart from a few minor changes they may as well be identical, sigh.
