G'day guys,
With Quake Live going onto steam it has rekindled my fire for the game. I noticed there were no active iCTF servers so I have taken the liberty of going Pro and creating a server that will be up frequently. The server name will be something like "Flutters iCTF".
My new Quake name is Joubi, so if you see me around please do say hello. Hope to see you all playing there.

Welcome back Joubi. It was good to kill you a couple of times amongst the 50 deaths. I'll be up for some more iCTF for sure

Currently trying to fix my broken Dell 3008wfp monitor. Looking forward to some iCTF if I can get it working.

broken? did you rage and smash it to bits?

There is a diode on the power board that dies after 4 or so years. Mine has lasted a lot longer than that. I've got the new $5 diode and am halfway through pulling it all apart to get to it. Need to desolder the heat sink to get access next. Bit of a slow process for me.

At least it its a cheap fix! I've always wondered how a diode does its job. I understand what they do, but how it actually works is beyondme. in hydraulics is easy to understand a check valve for the simple fact that you can see the parts and recognise how they work...
