Hi folks anybody else own guns/rifles ?
Just started getting back into it , had to do a course etc to get licensed , just picked up my second rifle
and put an intent to buy form into the firearms department for a third .
Im amazed tho what is actually legal to own , I only target shoot or pests such as European Carp / foxes .
I own a webley stingray 2 .177 Air rifle , just picked up a Savage 22 magnum rifle and have on layby a Stoeger Double defence 12 gauge side by side shotgun/tactical .

Surprised no-one gets into it , i want to eventually get into competition pistol shooting , silhouette runs against the clock , cs style , be good i think's :p

I did some shooting when I was a teenager...started with 22 magnum...biggest one I used was a 5.7 mauser...had my license for a short while there...

A little while later I found "raving" and it was all about peace and happiness for me after that. Guns don't really fit in that picture lol

mauser would be good to fire , had my license for awhile as a kid , but after port arthur everybody gave up there guns
and they were demonized . But good fun and prob end up doin pistol comps , but also self defence , anybody comes in my house
they,ll lose there legs , seriously ppl are getting home invaded with groups these days , i have kids so there wont be any
discussions :p they,ll look down two barrels and get one warnin...

Yer toga gonna upgrade to a hunting bow next season for the Carp , more fun , only went an air rifle because it was cheaper
and doubled as a can shooter down the river .

i had a gun pointed at me in Egypt. Never pointed or held one myself. Im curious to shoot a gun, but it wouldnt be at anything sentient or otherwise alive. Paintball type shooting would be mad fun though. Lets organise a PiT gathering and paintball sesh!?

Yer paintball would be great , stupid laws tho , u need a license to own a paintbull gun (gun license) but no license for a bow/crossbow or speargun ;-/

gubben im with u on not shooting animals , i only shoot carp , a bad pest in the murray , would even think twice about shooting a fox unless the property owner urged me to pop a few on his land , rabbits are pests but i wouldnt shoot one for the heck of it , because i dont eat rabbit , but thats only me . my old man wants to pop a roo , i said not with my gun , its illegal to shoot roo,s at all unless your a farmer , even if i do love roo meet

But will be blowing plenty of carp outa the water , and were i go especially in summer , been attacked twice by tiger snakes/not bitten , down near an island i think they breed on but also seen some fkn huge king browns .
