I've had a reply from BMW. Although they feel it is an amazing story with great advertising / promotional potential, they do not have a budget excess to apply to my project at this point in time. BMW will monitor my progess via my restoration thread http://forum.boxerworks.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6562 and should their situation change, they will contact me again.
I am happy and grateful to have received a reply.

Well im still washing & testing parts... I need a new crank

Ouch$ ...
The parts list is now... ummm ... extensive & expensive... and growing.
None the less.... continue on I shall

Am not up for an Academy Award just yet, we have to win the Edinburgh Festival (Best Doco category) which is happening next weekend... if we win, THEN we will be eligible for nomination

Ive only had dirt bikes in my life. I learnt on an Honda XR100 then got a Honda CR80 which was so awesome, with the weight of a 12 year old the thing flew. Then a Yamaha YZ125 which I loved so much. turned 18 and wanted a car now its all history
