cant copy n paste

Anyone know what might be the problem: For about a week i have not been able to copy and paste anything anywhere, in Word, Firefox, in Finder or anything. Running macbookpro 15"

My photoshop suddenly crapped out at about the same time and now i cant open picture files or move them around folders... strange shit... really need to be able to do all of those functions, in FCP too... anyone heard of this issue?

Ive tried applying default settings for keyboard in preferences and did a permissions check/repair... to no avail...

Ive had weird keybard probs before from either ctrl or alt being stuck down. sometimes windows key too, but that wouldnt happen on a mac i guess. maybe swap keyboard if you have a spare, or tap-tap-tap every key and see if thats it.

nah ended up having to do a complete re install of os, fcp and photoshop... working good now... still dont know what did it, no virus' and disks all fine... os just shat itself...

Derp.. didn't notice it's an Apple and I recommended Microsoft Security Essentials
