item timers are a form of cheat and are not allowed in the game. it's also impossible to create one without some sort of hack/injection. we tried to print times and use the /wait command etc. because it's not cheating if the game allows you to do it. anyway, it would get you banned.

I have a friend at my work who's keyboard can be set to start a timer when an item is picked up in-game and display it on the top LCD screen on the keyboard.

Technically it's not hacking if it's a set part of a keyboard, right?
So the doctor said that I wouldn't get so many nose bleeds if I just kept my finger out of there! =P
