Netflix was starting to stream in SD for a few seconds instead of straight to full HD, it was HORRIFYING! (I pay extra for speed so 30MB down is my theoretical minimum in that case and I'll be damned if I let Telstra off the hook after all their fuckery....cunce)

I bet most of the top 1% in Australia have fibre now. Doesn't matter if it's only copper in the area, new fibre cables laid down just for them. Cause hey, when you haz, you can haz more.

Im almost down to dialup speeds at the moment because a telstra tech stuffed something up in the pit out the front of the house. I can get a tech to come out and inspect but the first thing he will do is want to come in and check the internal wiring and he will see the mess ive made of it at the moment and blame that. Guess I have to finish that off soon to fix my net :/

Looks messy and is just coming out a hole in the wall, but it worked.

depends on the fault...the fix and fit faults are domestic but if it's raised as a pit issue then they don't get the residence fix and fit job.

tell them it's the pit and you're 100% sure of it etc

and remind them that they shouldn't send out techs/contract techs lacking in the skills for their job because it causes problems like this

Well, it wasnt internode that sent the tech out that broke my internet. They were willing to pay if a fault was found in the PIT but looking at my wiring job and blaming that would have been the easy 'fault finding'

Doesnt matter now anyway, I got home today and my net is back to 6.7 down and 0.85 up. Maybe the 33 degree heat cooked the water out of a bad joint or something.
