Two children in an artist studio given free will to paint. One child paints a pciture of a forest and a river, the other throws the paint all around the room and makes a mess.

Again though, the individuals stuck in this brutal way of thinking/life, are doing so because the "marketplace" supports it. This is possible only because the owners and rulers decide it is ok. Therefore, focusing on them is the key. And when we do, we find out that not only do they think of us as "stinky meat eaters" (they themselves eat mostly vegetarian and eat only the best organic food), but they think we are inferior to them. We are not of the same DNA; an offshoot of humanity that needs to be controlled and treated just the same as animals are today by corporations. We also find that they have spent billions and billions on human experiments; working out how to control a human (projects MKUltra, Majestic, Naomi and more are the tip of the iceberg).

Right now we have far bigger problems than fools murdering (and eating) animals inhumanely.

Two kids painting and grown men beating helpless animals to death are hardly comparable sifz, come on man.
- It's a metaphor In the big picture of millions of years on the planet, past and future, for sure the metaphors, parables and stuffs are relevant and help us

The marketplace does not support that kind of torture are you kidding? You dont find that on the shelves of your supermarket so i dont understand what market you are talking about.
- Food Inc, faux's youtube vids above, and more sources show that the corporations are paying people to do this aka it's their job...! The money comes from buying the products in the marketplace...Faux also posted up on the dog fur in China and govt policies. Of course the marketplace supports this! It's legal...otherwise the CEOs of the companies doing these things would be charged with a criminal offence right? Sometimes (rarely sure) they are but people know about caged chickens, the movie Babe and the pig industry, etc. Still they buy it because the corporations have limited our choices.

And yeah i might have been judgemental at people torturing sentient creatures. I dont view that as being a bad thing. imo.
- The people who do these things weren't brought up in a 4 bedroom, 2 storey house with a holiday house down the coast for school holidays. They know no better and until they learn hating or judging them ain't gonna help

sifz im not talking about the dairy industry or the beef industry, im talking about individuals. I know the practice of global food production regarding livestock is a cruel practice already as per Food Inc and how the clip i posted shows. Its the individuals beating up animals that is in addition to and over and above the instrinsic cruelty that occurs by cost saving and profiteering in this business. Im talking about guys punching, gouging, forking, beating to a pulp and smashing. None of that is best practice in terms of the industry, despite all the horrors that are approved by the oversight etc.

re the painting kids, i understand what a metaphor is, i still think you are stretching it, the kid throwing it around the room is a right brain artist and the kid painting the other pix is a left brain. If you said one kid painted and the other pulled wings and legs of insects and microwaved the cat it would be a closer analogy.

just as the barbaric crap is happening in the food industry and it is usually allowed by the owners until they are busted, there are soldiers being paid to do the same to women and children right now. no it's not best practice, but it won't change until the system changes and it hasn't for 50+ years now...

the point of the painting thing is they don't know what they are doing...

The core issue isn't the system. The system is a symptom of the core issue. The core issue is our severe lack of empathy generally as a species which, in turn, makes us indifferent to the suffering of animals, people, and even the planet. That indifference is what allows the fractional reserve banking system to enslave the majority; it's what allows a person to choose to drink cows milk even after being shown the kind of farming cruelty seen in videos posted here, it is what allows an individual, such as but not limited to farmers, to consciously inflict pain on other conscious, sentient beings, and so on. All the 'system' does is capitalize on it and then, over time, the system becomes so good at capitalizing on indifference that it not only helps to perpetuate and create more of it, and not only creates mechanisms to protect itself as it perpetuates it, but it also helps to mask the real true cause of itself. But when you strip it all away, the real cause is clear, it is a lack of empathy, and it's as simple as that. Unfortunately, the solution to it isn't simple because, in the end, the human condition has been this way since day dot. That's why even when you wipe out any system that capitalizes on it, another will rise to take its place. Only once our lack of empathy as a species is dealt with will we have harmony for ourselves, our planet, and the rest of the beings that live on it.

That is my very very crunched down view on it all.

Since this is a youtube thread, here's a video all about the 'eroson of empathy' as core to human cruelty. It's great to see people trying to promote the recognition that an erosion of empathy is a serious problem, but even they mess it up by confusing themselves that empathy is about our relation to people, rather than what it really is - our relation to everything.
