I hear you Buster, My Dad's in Gippsland near Bairnsdale. He's safe from any walls of flame, but last time they were rained on by burning embers from miles away.

Last I called, he said there's a heap of bulldozers, the army diesel trucks and water tankers filing up the empty reservoir near by.

Stay safe Mate.... maybe get the kids looked after elsewhere if it's a bit of a worry.

Did anyone see the one's they had of country Vic on the news tonight - 4pm and pitchblack. Poor buggers out there fighting for their lives & livelihood. I feel so sad for the animals who are also caught by the fires also - let's all pray for rain or at least for cool non-gusty weather

Man the smoke has been terrible here in Melb. today - hard to breath properly for most of the day. I hope it bloody pours soon!
