Hmmm if i get this position in Townsville, I might put in an order for a 6-10kg 6'6"-7'0" long butt rod to suit something like an Abu Garcia 6500c3 or Shimano Calcutta 400. Used to have an Ugly Stick setup like this and was fkn great for casting metal slugs off the headlands for Mackeral and Trevs plus a nice Barra rod too oh and it worked on the reefs alright lol!
